ForcePad Tehcnology to Replace Laptop TrackPads

Synaptics ForcePad™ logo
Before now, trackpads on laptops have proven to be responsive and intuitive. But now, Synaptics have discovered a breakthrough technology, the next generation of the capacitive TouchPad portfolio, a multi-finger, variable pressure detection, button-less TouchPad, which maximizes the gesture area that is ideal for a fast and fluid Windows 8 experience and other wide range of devices.

"ForcePad™ has change the game by altering the human-machine interface by bringing in a new improvement to TouchPad control on laptops and tablets. ForcePad detects how much pressure is applied to the trackpad and it NOW supports five fingers at a time as can be seen from the analysis below.
ForcePad has been able to eliminate a dedicated click-area as it is seen on laptops' trackpads of today.
Microsoft and Synaptics have been working together in other to see the inclusion of this ForcePad on the upcoming Windows 8 OS and a wide range of devices.
